Born in Austin, Texas (1961), Darin is a SC&S shareholder.
In addition to his practice of law, he is the author of numerous articles and a frequent lecturer on taxation, estate planning and trust and estate administration issues at programs for the Center for American and International Law, the University of Texas, the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as other groups. Darin is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a former member of the council of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, has served as adjunct professor in estate and gift taxation at St. Mary’s University School of Law for three years. He is consistently named in the Best Lawyers in America in both the Tax and Trusts and Estates areas and has been designated numerous times by Texas Monthly as a Texas Super Lawyer in Tax, as well as one of the Top 50 Lawyers in all practice areas in Austin, San Antonio, and Central and West Texas.
